Belarusian State University to take part in IEMA 2019 expo in Pakistan

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian State University (BSU) will showcase about 20 research and development projects at the International Engineering & Machinery Asia Exhibition (IEMA) which will be running in Lahore, Pakistan on 26-28 September, BelTA learned from the university.

The BSU innovations will make part of the Belarusian national exposition of research and development projects. Detailed information on the scientific achievements of the Belarusian university in the field of instrument-making and automation, their competitive advantages and technical characteristics will be presented through thematic posters, multimedia presentations and video clips.

The BSU projects on display in Pakistan will include the elevator equipment movement recorder B-590 PALTUS. This is a portable device with an indicator, keyboard, autonomous power supply and magnetic holders, which is used for technical inspection of passenger and freight elevators, lifts, and construction cranes. The device also measures vibration acceleration and linear speed of moving objects.

The Belarusian State University will also showcase the high-temperature optical thermograph IT-3SM. It is designed to measure the temperature of hot objects within the temperature range of 900-1300 degrees. The device can be used as a part of production and experimental installations for continuous control of temperature of metals during forging, stamping, rolling, and adjustment processes.

Visitors to the forum will also have a chance to get familiar with the device for remote monitoring of mobile objects AGENT V-602. The device is used to determine the location of the controlled object and transmit navigation and control information using cellular communication and has high resistance to power supply voltage fluctuations, interference, and signal loss.

The International Engineering & Machinery Asia Exhibition (IEMA) is the region's biggest event to exhibit a wide range of industrial equipment and technology. In 2018, taking part in the expo were 200 exhibitors from 14 countries.
