30 years of cooperation convinced Finland in reliability of Russian technologies

27.02.2014
The agreement between Rosatom and Fennovoima means that over 30 years of cooperation have convinced the Finnish colleagues that the Russian technologies are reliable and economically profitable, Dmitry Kumanovsky, the head of the Analytical Department at the LMS Investment Company (Russia), told media, BelTA informs.

“Their Loviisa NPP is also based on the Russian technologies and has so far given no single ground for complaint even though Finland’s nuclear safety requirements are very high. So, Rusatom Overseas’ becoming a 34% stakeholder in Fennovoima after E.On’s withdrawal from that company’s capital means that the Russian nuclear technologies are coming back – something we can already see in Eastern Europe, particularly, in Hungary,” the expert said.
