Belarus absolutely fulfills the recommendations of the International Atomic Energy Agency while establishing its nuclear energy industry, IAEA Deputy Director-General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy Alexander Bychkov has told reporters in Saint Petersburg on 26 June, BelTA has learnt.
“From the point of view of the IAEA, Belarus sticks to the plan while developing its nuclear energy; all our recommendations to improve or revise something are fulfilled. We do not see any problems with the construction and commissioning of the Belarusian nuclear power plant,” he said.
“The IAEA has recommended revising the national personnel training plan and Belarus is working on it now. We believe that nuclear energy specialists will be trained by the time the NPP is commissioned,” Alexander Bychkov added.
He emphasized that today “all leading vendors engaged in construction and design of nuclear power plants produce equipment and security systems, they work well and deliver a good quality”.
