Prime cost of Belarusian products to reduce after BelNPP launch

23.06.2016
As the Belarusian nuclear power plant is launched the prime cost of Belarusian products will be reduced several times and their competitiveness will be raised, deputy chief engineer at Gomel Casting and Normal Plant Anatoly Stankevich told BelTA when commenting on the speech of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko at the 5th Belarusian People’s Congress.

“I absolutely share the opinion of the head of state that the launch of the Belarusian NPP will have an impact on the prime cost of products of Belarusian enterprises, raise their quality and competitiveness. Nuclear energy should be developed,” the expert said.

Anatoly Stankevich noted that casting production accounts for 60% of the total energy consumption at Gomel Casting and Normal Plant. Of course, it has an influence on the cost of finished products. “Toughening competition in the whole world is a permanent trend. By reducing costs and raising the quality of products we can retain a foothold on traditional sales markets and penetrate new ones,” the expert said.

He is convinced that all the instructions of the President are feasible. ”Heads of enterprises in all industries need to be more independent in making managerial decisions. Lower executives should promptly respond to all trends in the global economy without waiting for the instructions from higher-ranking colleagues,” Anatoly Stankevich said.
