Nuclear industry plays an important role in Russia’s energy sector accounting for almost 20% of all electricity generation. Every year Rosatom expands its presence abroad, without losing quality, and holds a leading position in terms of the number of projects. Rosatom’s portfolio of overseas orders is growing quantitatively and qualitatively, first deputy chairman of the State Duma’s energy committee Valery Seleznev told the Energy Expert Center, BelTA has learned.

“Today Rosatom’s partners are China, India, Bangladesh, Iran, Belarus, and Turkey. In contrast to other corporations, Rosatom provides a full range of services, from assistance in amending the national legislation, site selection to disposal. This suggests that Rosatom creates new branches abroad opening up new technological possibilities for the countries where it is present. In this regard, it is very important to maintain and improve the level of quality provided by its suppliers,” Valery Seleznev said.

A reminder, every day more than 130 companies win Rosatom’s tenders worth over RUB2 billion. In  2017 Rosatom conducted more than 35,000 procurement tenders. In 2019 the company plans to hold tender-based procurement worth RUB975 billion.
