South African Republic is one of the most dynamically developing countries in the world. It has modern industry and high-tech economy, which need stable sources of energy. It is easy to understand why the local authorities are planning to develop nuclear energy, Alexander Ignatyuk, Head of Analytical Department of Energocapital, told media, BelTA informs.
“Even though South Africa has experience of building nuclear power plants, in order to realize its plans to build 9.6GW of nuclear reactors, it will need a reliable long-term partner with strong technological capacities and fuel sources.
Rosatom seems to be the most appropriate candidate due to its unique complex of engineering, construction, refueling, maintenance and personnel training services”, expert underlined.
