Belarus attending 2nd Global e-Government Forum

The Republic of Korea is hosting the 2nd Global e-Government Forum on 22-23 October. Deputy Information Minister of Belarus Dmitry Shedko is participating in the forum on the invitation of the Korean side, BelTA has learnt.

The prestigious forum has gathered delegations from over 40 countries and representatives from international organizations, the academia and the private sector. The forum participants will share the opinions and experience in the creation of electronic government, discuss the current problems and promising directions of the development of government informatization.

According to the estimates of the UNO, since 2010 the Republic of Korea has been the leading country by the degree of completion of its electronic government. The Global e-Government Forum was established in 2012; it is held on the initiative of the government of the Republic of Korea jointly with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
