The construction of a photovoltaic power plant for OAO Gomelglass with China will become a pilot project, Belarus’ Architecture and Construction Minister Anatoly Nichkasov told media on 19 July, BelTA has learnt.
According to the Minister, during the official visit of the Belarusian President to China the sides agreed to jointly construct the photovoltaic power plant for the Gomelglass company. “We think that this power plant will be a pilot project. The implementation of similar construction projects has been agreed with other major Belarusian enterprises such as Granit and OAO Dolomit and at the new Sitnitsa granite deposit,” Anatoly Nichkasov said.
Anatoly Nichkasov also noted that during Alexander Lukashenko’s official visit to the People’s Republic of China members of the Belarusian delegation visited the Chinese factory that manufactures photogalvanic cells. “We understood that these technologies should be imported to Belarus to be used, among other things, in the construction industry,” Anatoly Nichkasov underlined.
Anatoly Nichkasov added that his ministry will closely cooperate with the Energy Ministry in the implementation of the project. “It is not the first time we have dealt with nonconventional power sources but at the same time this is will be new experience for us,” the Minister stressed.
