Belarus’ external Internet connectivity up to 450Gbps

The overall bandwidth of the Internet channels connecting Belarus with the rest of the world has increased up to 450Gbps, the press service of the national telecommunication company Beltelecom told BelTA.

Beltelecom has improved the country’s connectivity with foreign Internet resources by 60Gbps. At present the bandwidth of the channels that connect the Belarusian part of the World Wide Web and the rest of the world is as large as 450Gbps, 80% up from the year before, BelTA has been told.

According to the source, Beltelecom makes timely decisions to keep up with the constantly rising number of Internet service subscribers and enable quality access to external information resources.

The company reported the previous increase in the country’s overall Internet connectivity in September.
