Belarus, India to expand cooperation in nano-materials

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Researchers from Belarus and India will scale up cooperation in the field of nano-materials and have plans to implement joint projects, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB).

On 25-27 September Minsk will host the Belarus-India seminar “Nano-Materials and New Materials”. During the seminar experts will discuss promising avenues of research in nano-materials, nano-technology and new materials, cooperation prospects and academic partnerships between Belarusian and Indian research centers and educational institutions.

Taking part in the seminar will be representatives of India's leading research centers, including the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) from Hyderabad, the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, the University of Hyderabad, the National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL) from New Delhi and PSG College of Technology from Coimbatore. On 26 September the Indian delegation will attend a seminar of research organizations under the umbrella of the NASB and the Education Ministry. A roundtable session is scheduled for 27 September.

The seminar is organized by the Powder Metallurgy Institute of the NASB and the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) with support of the NASB, the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus and the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India.
