Belarus-Kazakhstan agreement on cooperation in space ready for signing

The intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes between Belarus and Kazakhstan is ready for signing, BelTA learned the Chief of Office of the National Academy of Sciences Academician Piotr Vityaz.
"The agreement is ready for signing. We want it to be signed at a meeting at the level of Presidents or Prime Ministers. When this happens does not depend on us,” he explained.
According to Piotr Vityaz, the agreement includes a number of areas of joint work. "We are going to exchange information in all areas, help each other in the field of Earth sensing, development of new programs, processing of information and personnel training. In addition, we are planning to invite partners from Kazakhstan to join, in the capacity of an operator, our joint venture with Russia's International Space Technologies company,” he said.
The Kazakhstan-Belarusian working group on cooperation in space took place in Astana at the end of last week. The next meeting of the working group is scheduled to take place in the second half of the year in Minsk.
