Belarus President awards scholarships to 97 young scientists in 2015

On 5 January President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the executive order to award scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus in 2015, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

In line with the document, monthly presidential scholarships to the tune of Br3.5 million have been conferred on 11 doctors of sciences, 54 candidates of sciences, and 32 young scientists without scientific degrees. The awardees include specialists in physics, mathematics, technical sciences, chemistry, biology, medicine, agriculture, humanitarian and social sciences, geosciences. These are promising young scientists who have reached significant results of peculiar scientific and practical value in the priority areas of fundamental and applied research. Many of them have patented their inventions, industrial samples, and plant varieties. Scientific achievements of awardees are used by industrial companies and social institutions of the country.
