Belarus is in talks on possible deliveries of high-technology products to India, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
“The Belarusian delegation led by First Deputy Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Andrei Kosovsky is taking part in a meeting of the Belarusian-Indian intergovernmental commission on cooperation in science and technology which is taking place in Hyderabad. The parties are expected to consider prospects for developing sci-tech and innovative sectors, update the list of joint areas for sci-tech and innovative activity, and also discuss issues related to the supplies of high-technology products to India,” representatives of the Committee said.
According to the press service, the meeting will also highlight the preparation of contracts in science, technology and innovations in cooperation with Indian organizations. “The parties are set to coordinate the plan of the Belarusian-Indian sci-tech events and sci-tech and innovative projects,” the Committee stressed.
The program of the visit will include bilateral meetings, including in the National Academy of Sciences of India, the University of Delhi, visits to companies and technological parks of Hyderabad. The parties are expected to sign the final protocol and the executive program of the Belarusian-Indian sci-tech cooperation for 2016-2017.
