Belarus to present antidrone solutions in Abu Dhabi

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Belarus will present R&D products designed to effectively detect and counteract various unmanned aerial systems at UMEX SimTEX 2020 in Abu Dhabi, representatives of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

The unmanned system exhibition and conference UMEX SimTEX 2020 will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 22-25 February. It will gather representatives of about 160 companies from 25 countries. A delegation of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus is expected to participate in it.

The latest Belarusian technologies designed to effectively detect and counteract various unmanned aerial systems will be presented. Those are high-mobility radars for detecting low-altitude flying targets and antidrone solutions suitable for rapid deployment and able to protect military and civilian installations.

In particular, the Belarusian products on display will include the radar station Rosa, which is specifically designed to detect low-altitude targets, and the radio warfare station Groza-S. The Groza product family will also include a mobile VHF jamming station. It can reliably detect, determine the location, and suppress ground communications lines up to 40km away and aerial communications lines up to 200km away. Visitors will also be able to see the coast territory guard system Kasatka and the air defense missile system Trio.

Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Roman Golovchenko intends to meet with top officials of the Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates and with heads of UAE defense industry companies.
