21.11.2014
The Belarusian electrical products manufacturer OAO ENEF will start making equipment for purifying air in operating rooms, BelTA learned from ENEF Director Natalia Golota on 21 November.

“We are now testing a device meant to purify air in operating rooms. Its competitor is manufactured in Israel but at twice the price of our product,” said Natalia Golota.

The executive explained that the testing of the new product involves quite a lot of work and requires a lot of time. If the test is successful, the company may start making the devices in 2015. According to the source, the new products will be in demand in Belarus and abroad. At present ENEF sells its products in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and the European Union. Export accounts for 75-80% of the total output.

The public joint-stock company OAO ENEF was founded in 1991. At present the company has 17 shareholders from Belarus, Russia, and Netherlands. ENEF makes over 260 modifications of electronic starting regulators for luminescent lamps, high-pressure sodium-vapor lamps, metal halide lamps, bactericidal lamps, power sources for light-emitting diodes, LED modules, outdoor and indoor lamps with electronic starting regulators, LED lamps, semiconductor rectifiers and components for electric-arc welding equipment and power sources. The products are used by other Belarusian companies, in particular, OAO Minsk Automobile Plant, ZAO Atlant, and by foreign companies.
