Belarusian Industrial Forum kicks off in Minsk

The Belarusian Industrial Forum has opened today at the Football Manege in Minsk and will run through 23 May, BelTA has learned.

The highlight of the forum will be the Belpromenergo expo which will feature the results of the efforts to reduce GDP energy intensity in Belarus, the latest achievements in the fuel and energy industry, energy and resource-saving technologies, research and engineering advances, innovative projects. The expo will include presentations of wielding technology and cutting-edge equipment. Partaking in the expo will be companies representing a number of ministries, the State Science and technology Committee, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and many others.

A plenary meeting of the forum that is due on 21 May will focus on the enhancement of the productivity, quality and efficiency of labor through the implementation of new technologies and upgrading. Participants of the meeting will talk over innovative activities, technical regulation in securing the safety and quality of products in the Customs Union, the enhancement of the efficiency of the energy complex of Belarus and other issues.

Another important part of the forum will be an international symposium “Technologies. Equipment. Quality”. The event will feature nine break-out sessions discussing the issues related to the reduction of energy intensity of production, prospects of developing energy resources of industrial companies. The fourth exchange of industrial subcontracts will take place companies and potential suppliers of equipment, component parts, units and details. The welding competition will diversify the program of the Belarusian Industrial Forum.
