Belarusian scientist honored by Russian Academy of Sciences

Belarusian scientist Anatoly Kulak has been honored with the medal “In Memory of Academician N.M. Emanuel” instituted by the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the Scientific Partnership International Foundation, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB).

“This is a scientific prize and is awarded on a competitive basis for the achievements in physicochemical biology, chemical kinetics, biotechnology, and biochemical physics. This is the first time that this high prize has been awarded to a Belarusian scientist,” the NASB press service explained.

The medal “In Memory of Academician N.M. Emanuel” has been awarded every year since 2007 to one foreign and two Russian scientists, and also to one foreign and two Russian organizations.

Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the NASB, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Anatoly Kulak will be awarded the medal and a diploma in a ceremony at the Emanuel Institute of Biochemical Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences on 1 October 2014.
