Belarusian senators ratify cooperation agreement on GLONASS

Belarusian senators approved the ratification of the intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Russia on cooperation in the use of the Russian global satellite navigation system GLONASS, BelTA has learnt.
According to Deputy Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee Igor Bykov, the document envisages the regulation of cooperation in the development of the Belarusian ground infrastructure of the GLONASS system.
The agreement also provides for mutual scientific and technical information sharing, experimental data, results of development projects, materials, equipment and software.
The intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Russia on GLONASS was signed at the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers on 13 December 2013.
