Belarusian Space Congress in Minsk on 28-30 October

The 6th Belarusian Space Congress will gather more than 150 scientists in Minsk on 28-30 October, BelTA learnt from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

“Attending the event will be leading specialists in the space industry as well as space pilots. The participants of the meeting will hear more than 150 reports from scientists representing Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries,” the press service said.

The forum will discuss the latest achievements in the space area and priorities in the development of space activities. The plenary reports will focus on new areas of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in space as part of the Union State program Monitoring SG, the results of the first stage and goals for the following stages of the program. The participants of the forum will discuss the present-day state and prospects for the Russian cosmonaut selection and training system as well as the development of aerospace education in Ukraine.

The program of the congress will comprise an exhibition of sci-tech spaceworthy products at the United Institute of Informatics Problems under the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
