Belarusian startup in Virgin Media’s top 10 projects

08.06.2015
The project by Brest residents Artem Stavenko and Kirill Chikeyuk is one of the world’s ten best startups selected by the company Virgin Media, BelTA learned from Artem Stavenko.

“We have come up with a 2D technology that allows demonstrating 3D effect videos. At present the world market offers expensive hologram solutions, which are not convenient to use and install, for outdoor advertising. For instance, they cannot be scaled. The display we have developed is cheap to make — several times less than any similar products that have ever been available on the market. Still images and videos seem to be hovering in the air. The data can be fed from smartphones and computers within seconds,” said Artem Stavenko. The data can also be transferred in real time, for instance, tweets. Besides, the device can recognize human faces at a certain distance and display them in real time.

The project by Artem Stavenko and Kirill Chikeyuk is one of the top ten projects out of 2,500 projects submitted for the contest. The winner will be nominated through online voting that will last till 16 June.

Top three projects will be personally presented before the businessman Richard Branson, who owns Virgin Media Company. The winner will get an advertising campaign worth Ј150,000 and other prizes.
