Belarusian students win medals at IT-Universe Olympiad

Students of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics were named prizewinners at the international IT Olympiad IT-Universe 2014 which final took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, BelTA learnt from the pres service of the university.
Oleg Tanasyuk claimed silver in the Collegiate Programming competition. Pavel Litvinko bagged bronze in the Mobile Software Development contest.
Partaking in the competitions were four countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan; more than 1,500 students from over 150 educational establishments. The final was reached by over 60 students from 34 higher education and vocational institutions.
The final was held at the Nazarbayev University, one of the country’s leading institutions training IT specialists and one of the most prestigious educational establishments. Next year the international final will take pace in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Among the partners of the tournament and task developers were Samsung, 1C, D-Link and other companies.
