Belorusneft to ship another batch of seismic exploration equipment to Ecuador

The industrial group Belorusneft will ship another batch of seismic exploration equipment to Ecuador, BelTA learned from the company.

The company will deliver the second telemetering set. The first one was shipped early in the year. It will be operated by specialists of Belorusneft Ecuadorian subsidiary, which was opened at the end of 2012.

Additional seismic exploration equipment will increase the capacity to receive seismic data up to 10,000 channels. In addition, this will enable the Belarusian subsidiary to expand the range of services provided to Ecuadorian customers. The Belarusian specialists are planning to start working on a 3D seismic surveying project for the Ecuadorian State Oil Company Petroamazonas. They are planning to cover 1,500 square kilometers in the next two years.

Apart from seismic surveying Belorusneft’s subsidiary in Ecuador will perform drilling and well workover operations, assimilate high technologies in the monitoring of the oil and gas deposit development and improve reservoir recovery.

The industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. It is part of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim. The company specializes in surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction.
