Belov: Belarusian companies will enjoy special privileges at IASP 2016 in Moscow

Belarusian companies will have special privileges at the IASP 2016 in Moscow, Senior Vice President for Innovations at Skolkovo Vasily Belov said during the Minsk round of the Russian start-up tour of Skolkovo Foundation, BelTA has learned.
"In 2016, Moscow will play host to the IASP world conference in 2016. It will be attended by representatives of more than 700 science parks from around the world. We look forward to the participation of the Belarusian technology parks. They will have special privileges. This will be an opportunity for them to show themselves at the international level," said Vasily Belov. The IASP world conference is "the Olympiad among technology parks", a key platform for networking, communication and exchange of experience for representative of science parks and innovation development zones from around the world.
Vasily Belov also stressed that Skolkovo is a good bridge for Belarusian companies for international commercialization, not only for advancement to the Russian market. “The most important thing for any entrepreneur is access to a market. And we stand ready to help the most interesting Belarusian projects with branching out into the markets of China, European and North American countries," he said.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich stressed that Belarus and Russia have already implemented more than 30 joint research projects. He also noted that Russia is ready to support the Belarusian innovation projects.
On 14-15 Minsk is playing host to the Belarusian round of the Russian start-up tour of Skolkovo Foundation. About 900 applications have been submitted in five thematic areas: information technology, biomedical technology, energy-efficient technologies, industrial technologies and materials, innovations for children. Of them more than 200 were selected for presentation. The largest number of applications were submitted in information technologies, new materials, industrial and biomedical technologies. The goal of the tour is to find innovative solutions and assist developers in devising their own development strategies. The tour also includes a training program (master classes and seminars from leading experts in the field of innovation projects). Three winners will be selected in each of the five areas of the start-up tour. They will be invited to take part in the Russian conference of start-ups Startup Village which will take place in Moscow on 2-3 June 2015.
