Boeing to consider setting up aircraft repair hub in Belarus

Boeing will consider a possibility of setting up an aircraft maintenance hub in Belarus, Vice President for Sales of Commercial Aircraft at Boeing Martin Bentrott said after signing an agreement on selling three Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Belavia, BelTA has learnt.
“We will work on it with our partner, Belavia,” he said.
Belavia Director General Anatoly Gusarov noted that the matter was discussed a day before at the Belarusian government. Boeing and Belavia are set to prepare their cooperation proposals.
The Boeing Company is among the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers and the biggest producer of passenger aircraft. The company also provides a number of product support services. Boeing sells its aircraft to over 90 countries. It is one of the biggest exporters in the United States in terms of sales.
Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus. It is based in the National Airport Minsk and offers regular flights to more than 40 destinations in Europe and Asia. Belavia’s services meet the highest international safety standards. The company operates 26 aircrafts (including 15 Boeing aircraft).
