Border crossing e-booking system at Kamenny Log in 2015

The State Border Committee of Belarus plans to introduce the electronic reservation system for border crossing in the Kamenny Log checkpoint at the Belarusian-Lithuanian border in 2015, Spokesman for the State Border Committee of Belarus Alexander Tishchenko told media on 11 June, BelTA has learned.

“This year we plan to introduce the e-booking queue for cargo carriers at the Kozlovichi checkpoint on the border with Poland. Next year the service will be available at Kamenny Log,” the spokesman said. In his words, a service area has already been opened in Kozlovichi where drivers can park their vehicles and have some rest.

Besides, the border agency plans to provide an online queue booking service. During the 2014 IIHF World Championship every 15th fan made use of the service to come to Belarus. “People take such novelties very good. We will continue developing such services, including through our website,” the spokesman added.
