Brazilian aid for energy saving in Belarus

Belarus is ready to help Belarus with assimilating energy-saving technologies in the production sector. The idea was discussed at a meeting of Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich and Second Secretary of the Embassy of Brazil in Belarus Danilo Teofilo Costa, BelCCI representatives told BelTA.

The sides discussed the main avenues and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Second Secretary of the Embassy of Brazil in Belarus Danilo Teofilo Costa remarked that Brazil uses a lot of alternative energy sources and can provide assistance with the assimilation of energy-saving technologies at Belarusian enterprises. It will make the country less dependent on imported energy resources.

In turn, Vladimir Ulakhovich remarked that Brazil is an important economic partner of Belarus. In his opinion, the most promising fields of cooperation between the two countries include agriculture, energy saving, civil engineering, construction and development of infrastructure, production of machines for the mining industry.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its unitary enterprises have arranged a number of visits of delegations of Belarusian business circles to Brazil as well as receptions for Brazilian businessmen. The Mogilev Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is preparing a new visit of the Belarusian delegation to Brazil. The visit is scheduled for May 2014.

At the end of the meeting Vladimir Ulakhovich invited representatives of the Embassy of Brazil to take part in the Belarusian Industrial Forum in late May 2014 and in the meeting of trade representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Belarus that will take place in Mogilev on 5 July 2014.
