Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park gets new name

01.07.2014
The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park has been named the Great Stone Industrial Park. The new name of the park was formalized by Decree No. 326 “Concerning the operation of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park “Great Stone Industrial Park” signed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on 30 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“The decree changed the name “The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park” into “The Great Stone Industrial Park”, as the village of Great Stone is located on the premises of the park,” the press service informed.

The document seeks to create a comfortable business environment in the park and attractive business terms that would draw domestic and foreign investments, to speed up the construction of the park and to raise the efficiency of its administration. Besides, the area of the park has been revised.

The document has introduced changes to the state examination procedure for project documents drafted using technical standards of China and other foreign states. Facilities of the park might be constructed simultaneously with the development, examination and approval of the corresponding project documentation for each stage of the project.

This will help optimize investments at the initial stage of construction and attract the necessary financing to create the park’s infrastructure.

“The decree will provide the necessary guarantees and make potential investors more confident about their investments. It will also help facilitate the construction of new facilities and implementation of other agreements on the project,” the press service informed.
