Changchun Sida Mechanical & Electrical Automation Co. has plans to produce big LED displays and lamps in Belarus, BelTA learnt from Yuri Lukashevich, Aide to the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus.
“The Chinese company plans to use cutting-edge technologies and materials for the new production in Belarus with the subsequent export to the Commonwealth of Independent States and the European Union. The technologies developed by Sida allow reducing energy consumption by 50% and increasing the operating life of LED equipment more than five times,” Yuri Lukashevich said.
Director General of the Chinese company Wang Rui-Guang met with Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Igor Voitov and Chairman of the State Military and Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev. The parties noted that joint production of LED equipment is just one of the areas of the bilateral cooperation. The parties will be able to collaborate in various fields, and introduce high-tech and innovative technologies both in Belarus and China using the opportunities of the Belarusian-Chinese Technopark in Changchun.
The future joint venture is expected to enjoy some economic preferences.
The joint venture to produce LED equipment will operate at Tekhnika Svyazi, the oldest company of the Belarusian defense sector. The company specializes in the development and production of short-wave and ultra-short wave digital and analog radio communication systems for the law enforcement and for civil use, as well as telecommunications equipment for wire lines and antenna rotators.
