Construction works at Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park to start on 19 June

A solemn foundation stone laying ceremony in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park and the start of the construction works are scheduled for 19 June. The matter was discussed at the meeting of Vice-President of CITIC Construction Chen Xiaojia with Deputy Prime Ministers of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich and Anatoly Tozik, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.
Chen Xiaojia informed the Belarusian side about the implementation of projects in cement industry in Belarus and new suggestions of the Chinese company. “Formalities related to the establishment of the Belarus-Russia joint engineering company will be completed in June. The company is expected to handle a huge amount of work for the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. A solemn foundation stone laying ceremony and the start of the construction works will be held there on 19 June 2014,” the press service informed.
Other project discussed at the meeting were the construction of a liquefied natural gas plant and low-temperature gas stations, production of gasballoon equipment and upgrade of car engines. “It is a tripartite project. It will benefit Russia, Belarus and China. It is important that all the sides are interested in it,” Chen Xiaojia said. The parties are considering a possibility to construct a liquefied natural gas plant in Kobrin.
Anatoly Tozik noted that the parties need to come up with a mechanism to implement the tripartite project and determine their role in it as soon as possible. “We are ready to support it if needed,” he said.
