Croatia's Tehnix seeks closer cooperation with Belarus

Croatia's Tehnix is interested in expanding cooperation with Belarus. The issue was discussed at the meeting between Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin and representatives of Tehnix Company, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.
Tehnix Managing Director Duro Horvat praised Belarus' efforts to improve the environmental protection of the population, waste management and development of the recoverable materials collection and processing sector. He also expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Belarus, including setting up joint assembling plants for special-purpose municipal vehicles and equipment.
The parties discussed key issues in the implementation of a complex investment project on the organization of a modern high-efficiency production of refuse derived fuel in Grodno Oblast as well as the conditions of its financing.
The project will be implemented with the help of a concessional loan of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The financing mechanism will be worked out jointly with the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
Tehnix representatives informed the Belarusian government on the forthcoming international environmental congress in Dubrovnik in September 2015 and invited Belarusian specialists to take part in it.
While in Belarus, representatives of the Croatian company paid a visit to the Brest garbage recycling plant, Krasnoselskstroimaterialy and Kommash companies.
