Plans have been made to launch an educational space satellite in Belarus, BelTA learned from Professor Alexander Tuzikov, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Director General of the United Informatics Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, on 18 March.
According to Alexander Tuzikov, the Belarusian State University (BSU) is considering several options for launching the educational satellite. The project may be implemented as part of an individual program of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in association with the Russian Space Agency and the Kursk State University. Money to implement the project is not available yet. “We may launch a satellite of our own. Because the work on launching an educational satellite was and is in progress as part of previous Union State space programs and as part of the new program Monitoring SG,” noted the Director General of the United Informatics Institute.
