Ground control center in Stankovo already communicates with Belintersat-1

Ground control center in Stankovo already communicates with the satellite Belintersat-1, Chairman of Belarus’ State Military Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev told reporters, BelTA has learned.
"The satellite used minimal resources on the launch. All appropriate adjustments were made, antennas and solar panels have opened, which means the satellite operates properly. The ground control center in Stankovo already communicates with the satellite," said Sergei Gurulev.
According to him, communications and broadcasting satellite systems is a promising area. "This is the future. We have a space device engineering sector. I think that sometime in the future we will branch out into satellite communications,” Sergei Gurulev said.
