Korea to help Belarus draft IT development program

Belarus’ IT development program for the period after 2015 will be elaborated using financial and consultative assistance of the World Bank and the Government of Korea. The corresponding agreement was reached during the meeting of Aide to the President Vsevolod Yanchevsky with Executive Vice President of the Korea Internet & Security Agency Kwang Jin Park and head of the World Bank delegation Sandra Sargent, BelTA has learnt.

Apart from that, during the talks the parties agreed to implement several pilot projects in the field of information and telecommunications.

The parties also discussed establishment of long-term cooperation in information and telecommunication technologies and ways to attract foreign direct investments of South Korean companies and financing from the World Bank and the Government of Korea.
