Latest Belarusian defense products on display at Indo Defence Expo

Belarus presented its latest defense industry products at Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2014, the largest defense technology expo in the Asian Pacific region, that opened in Jakarta, Indonesia on 5 November, BelTA learned from Vladimir Lavrenyuk, representative of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus for information and public relations.

Before today Belarus was presented at the expo only once — in 2012. This year Belarus is represented by five defense industry enterprises: Belspetsvneshtechnika, KB Display, Minotor Service, KB Radar, and SOOO Virtual Technologies. The Belarusian delegation is led by Oleg Morozov, Chairman of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus.

The united national booth features the latest Belarusian air defense missile systems, optics and electronics, modern computerized troop management systems, simulators. Radioelectronics warfare and radio location products are also available as well as information display systems for rough conditions, models of various military hardware, including remote-controlled fire and observation systems, sights and aiming solutions for various kinds of armaments, observation systems. Visitors are able to get information about R&D services, design, development, manufacturing, modernization, repair and maintenance of armaments and military hardware.

This year's expo occupies 10,000m2, with 525 companies from 45 countries taking part in the event. Indo Defence Expo & Forum features a total of 22 national booths. The largest ones belong to Indonesia (166 companies), the USA (57 companies), and Singapore (32 companies). The expo will include a broad business program.
