Minsk to host Forum of Union State Programs 5-11 October

The Forum of Union State Draft Programs will take place at the Belarusian National Technical University in Minsk on 5-11 October, BelTA learnt from the Union State Permanent Committee.

Attending the event will be representatives of Russian and Belarusian universities, rectors, pro-rectors, young scientists and specialists, students, postgraduates in engineering and technological majors, state administration bodies, scientific organizations, subjects of innovation infrastructure and industrial companies.

“The major goal of the forum is to set up an interuniversity platform for the implementation of the main areas of the Belarusian-Russian integration cooperation in supporting talented youth in education, science and innovation activity. The participants of the forum will also consider energy security in the Union State,” the Permanent Committee noted.

The program of the forum will comprise a sci-tech exhibition, Innovation Products, University Development and Innovation Projects of the Union State, a model making competition, a business training for students and young scientists. The forum will also feature a number of sections highlighting youth innovative entrepreneurship and Union State energy security, lectures of outstanding scientists, a roundtable entitled Consortium of the Union State Energy Universities – a Possible Cooperation Mechanism for Energy Security, and a business competition on the best youth innovation project in the Union State.

The participants of the forum will be given a tour to BelAZ Company and will attend a gala concert featuring students and young scientists of the Union State.

The forum will be held under the auspices of the Union State Permanent Committee, the Education Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
