The international education forum titled as Quality of Higher and Professional Education in the European Perspective scheduled in Minsk for April 2014 is expected to be an important dialogue on the ways of developing education, improving its quality and efficiency, and strengthening international cooperation in this field, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UK to Belarus Bruce Bucknell told media, BelTA learned.
According to CEO of Magna Carta College Oxford Vadzim Tsitou, the forum will bring together representatives of approximately 200 universities from around the world. “We expect that the Minsk forum will be attended by representatives of the accreditation and supervisory authorities of the United Kingdom, the world’s biggest universities and other institutions that shape the education development policy,” he said.
Vadzim Tsitou noted that the forum will focus on the pressing issues of quality control in education, on the prospects for Belarus’ education as an export industry, development of the distance learning system. "We also intend to discuss current trends in the global education market, the integration between professional education and higher education and wider involvement of Belarusian education in the international system, he added.
Magna Carta College Oxford is one of the organizers of the first international forum on education in Minsk.
