Finals of the international cyber festival Techlabs Cup will take place in Minsk on 28 September, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Dmitry Voronyuk told media on 5 September.
BelTA has learned that the final stage of Eastern Europe’s largest cyber sports festival will take place in Belarus for the first time. The event will take place in Minsk’s Sports Palace. The finals will last for 12 hours, the event is unparalleled in Belarus, noted Dmitry Voronyuk.
The finals of such a prestigious international cyber festival will allow advancing cyber sports in Belarus to a new level, believes the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. The project will also allow creating a platform for cooperation of Belarusian IT companies with foreign manufacturers and will attract investments in the development of information systems and the gaming industry of Belarus, the organizers believe.
Techlabs Cups is the largest cyber sports tournament in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The finals in Minsk will combine a cyber sports championship, a championship in radio-controlled, ground-based and aerial models as well as an impressive interactive show.
The final stage of Techlabs Cup will bring together winners of cyber festivals of the four gaming seasons that were held in Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine as well as sportsmen from other CIS states, Poland, Germany, Sweden, and Estonia. The event is expected to gather hundreds of cyber sportsmen, about 30,000 spectators and over 1 million online fans.
