A delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) will take part in the Belarusian-Polish conference in Warsaw, BelTA learnt from the NASB press service.
NASB delegation led by Chairman of the Presidium Vladimir Gusakov is in Warsaw on 21-23 March on the invitation of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The goal of the visit is to hold talks on promising areas and mechanisms of expanding sci-tech cooperation and take part in the conference, Polish-Belarusian Sci-Tech Cooperation in Humaniatrian Sciences, on 22 March.
The NASB delegation comprises representatives of the Humanitarian Sciences and Arts Department, heads of scientific organizations, scholars.
Researchers will present reports on the most important issues in humanitarian sciences and also outline themes for joint projects. The Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Polish Academy of Sciences plan joint research under such themes as the dialogue of confessions in the religious culture of the Belarusian-Polish borderzone and its historical analysis, political, legal, social and economic reforms in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th-18th centuries, Poland and Belarus during the Second World War.
On 22 March Vladimir Gusakov is set to meet with President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Jerzy Duszynski to discuss the current cooperation of the parties and outline possible steps in intensifying cooperation between the academies of sciences. The Belarusian delegation also plans to visit scientific organizations of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
