New solar plant for Mogilev Oblast in 2016

The Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee and Interregional Energy Company GmbH (Germany) signed an investment agreement to construct a photovoltaic power plant for electric energy production in Kostyukovichi District, Mogilev Oblast, BelTA learnt from the Economy Committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.

The project envisages the construction of a 4.5MW photovoltaic power plant to generate electricity from the renewable source – solar energy. Investors are expected to install the equipment of the leading European companies at the place of the former brick plant in Kostyukovichi District (the total area of about 8.5 hectares). The new plant will be operated by 2-3 specialists.

The commissioning of the committed capacity of the future solar plant will be conducted step-by-step until 2017. The facility will be connected with the active energy networks. Generated electricity will be sold to state energy suppliers. The annual revenue to the local budget from taxes and other payments will make up Br3 billion.
