Over 150 scientists to gather for geo-ecology conference in Minsk

Over 150 scientists and young researchers from six countries will attend a conference to discuss present-day problems in landscape science and geo-ecology which is due to take place at the Belarusian State University on 15 October, BelTA learnt from the university.

Attending the conference will be scientists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The forum will mark the 80th anniversary of the Geography Department of the Belarusian State University, the press service said.

Four sections will be open during the conference to discuss more than 100 reports. The forum will cover a wide range of issues, including assessment of land resources and their territorial differences, modern methods and technologies for landscape and geo-ecologic studies, and many more.

The conference will stay open through 17 October.
