Over 250 Belarusians complete training on ITEC program

Over 250 Belarusians completed training on the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program. It was noted at the event hosted by the Embassy of India in Belarus to mark the 50th anniversary of the program, BelTA has learned.
The Government of India has organized a number of events worldwide to celebrate the date. Events will be held from 15 September 2014 to 15 September 2015. According to specialists, the ITEC program is an important mechanism of exchanging knowledge and skills, and is widely popular. In 2013-2014 over 10,000 scholarships were allocated to 161 countries including Belarus under the ITEC program.
People of Belarus as the ITEC program partner country have undergone various courses since 1993, including management, administration, banking and finances, English, journalism, diplomacy, business activity, medicine, criminal investigation, lawmaking activities. Belarus annually receives 45 scholarships under the ITEC program.
