Over RUB3bn for Union State military-technical cooperation programs in 2014

Belarus and Russia are set to implement 10 programs and four assignments as part of the Union State military-technical cooperation in 2014. A total of RUB3.16 billion will be allocated for these purposes, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Grigory Rapota said at the working meeting to discuss the Union State military programs, BelTA informs with reference to Belorusskaya Voennaya Gazeta, the official newspaper of the Defense Ministry.

The meeting also reviewed the results of the Union State military-technical programs in 2013. Last year the two countries successfully implemented 9 programs and 6 assignments to the tune of RUB2.5 billion.

The most successful projects were related to space technology, design of new computer systems. “Close attention is paid to the programs related to the development of the infrastructure for the regional troops,” informs the newspaper.
