Passenger traffic at National Airport Minsk up by 5.6% in Janaury-July 2015

MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – The National Airport Minsk and its branch Airport Minsk-1 handled about 1,501,900 passengers in January-July 2015, up by 5.6% compared to the same period a year earlier, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Airport Minsk.

In July 2014 alone the passenger traffic via the National Airport Minsk exceeded 378,100 people, up by 5% as against July 2014. The airport serviced over 2,100 flights, including more than 1,500 regular flights and about 580 charter flights.

The National Airport Minsk is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport is home to the national air carrier Belavia and the cargo carriers Transaviaexport, Rubystar, and Genex. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
