Project for Huawei’s industrial integration training center in Belarus

The Belarusian Information Technologies and Communications Ministry and OOO Bel Huawei Technologies plan to create a smart industrial integration training center in Belarus, the Ministry’s press service told BelTA.
Information Technologies and Communications Minister Sergei Popkov and Director General of OOO Bel Huawei Technologies Zhang Dongliang signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry and the company on 21 May. The smart industrial integration training center will be based at premises of the Belarusian company Promsvyaz and the education institution Higher State College of Communications.
The center will train specialists of Promsvyaz, Beltelecom, and the Higher State College of Communications to use mechanisms of active cooperation as part of the implementation of joint projects in the field of communications, the organization of joint seminars, symposiums and exhibitions dedicated to new communication industry solutions.
Bel Huawei Technologies will provide the center with new research products for implementing joint projects, technical documents, technology testing equipment (for free in line with Belarusian laws and on the basis of individual contracts) and will also lend specialists specializing in the area of development, manufacturing, and operation of communication equipment.
The sides will work to increase the localization of products made by OAO Promsvyaz using components supplied by Bel Huawei Technologies.
As part of the development of the smart industrial integration training center the sides will consider setting up a lab. The lab is supposed to assess promising R&D avenues and organize relevant equipment production at Promsvyaz.
OAO Promsvyaz is a leading Belarusian developer and manufacturer of electric communication equipment. The enterprise is part of the system of the Belarusian Information Technologies and Communications Ministry. For 80 years the company has been making wired communication equipment for the country’s economy in addition to a wide choice of consumer goods. For over ten years the company has been using an ISO 9001 quality management system. The company introduced an environmental protection system compliant with ISO 14001 over five years ago.
Huawei started working in Belarus in 2003 by opening a representative office in Minsk. In 2007 the company OOO Bel Huawei Technologies was registered, with 100% foreign capital. At present the company employs over 150 people. The company now employs over 150 personnel.
