Russian space agency, NASB to discuss creation of Earth remote sensing satellite

The Russian space agency Roscosmos and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) will discuss the creation of a satellite for the remote sensing of the Earth in ultrahigh resolution, the NASB press service told BelTA.
According to the press service, a Roscosmos delegation led by the agency's head Igor Komarov is expected to visit the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus next week. Negotiations will be held on 23 June to discuss new avenues of cooperation in space exploration and the creation of an advanced satellite for the remote sensing of the Earth in ultrahigh resolution.
BelTA has been told that NASB scientists will deliver presentations relating to space industry.
The Russian delegation has been invited by the administration of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The purpose of the visit is to hold negotiations with top administrators of the Academy to discuss promising avenues of cooperation and mechanisms to implement them. While in Belarus Roscosmos representatives will also visit the Academy’s organizations for the sake of discussing the progress in implementing joint projects.
The Roscosmos head intends to get familiar with the ability of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and other Belarusian organizations to perform services relating to outer space exploration. Members of the delegation are expected to hold negotiations with top administrators of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. They will also visit the Academy’s powder metallurgy industrial group, the A.V. Lykov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute, OAO Peleng and OAO Integral.
