The international exhibition TIBO 2016 opened in the Belarusian capital on 19 April, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies.
The exhibition will be attended by Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Houlin Zhao, Director General of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications Nurudin Mukhitdinov, head of the ITU Area Office for the CIS Orozobek Kaiykov, Azerbaijan Minister of Communications and High Technology Ramin Namig oglu Guluzade, Microsoft Chief General Manager for the Public Sector Business of Central and Eastern Europe Trudy Norris-Grey and others.
The TIBO 2016 exposition will feature a number of themed areas taking into account the priorities of the state policy in the ITC field: National Information Infrastructure, Digital Economy, E-Government and Electronic Interaction, ICT in the Social and Cultural Sector, Digital Transformation Strategy, Robotics, Digital Technology in Printing and Publishing Activity.
Partaking in the TIBO 2016 will be more than 100 companies from 18 countries (Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Sweden, the UK, Turkey, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States). The central place of the exposition will be occupied by the stand of the Belarusian Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies that will include expositions of other ministries as well.
Among the participants of the exposition will be leading landline and mobile operators Beltelecom, Mobile TeleSystems, Velcom, Belarusian Cloud Technologies, cable operators Cosmos TV and OAO MTIS, postal service operator Belpochta. The exhibition will also display global brands such as Huawei, ZTE, Nokia Networks, Canon, Epson, Samsung, SAP, Dell, EMC, Motorola, Tamron, Eaton.
Apart from companies’ individual stands the exposition will showcase the stands of the Minsk City Hall, the State Science and Technology Committee, suppliers of innovative solutions in trade, Lithuania’s ICT sector association Infobalt, and the national stand of Azerbaijan.
The exhibition will stay open through 22 April.
The exhibition will be held as part of the international forum on communications, information and banking technologies TIBO 2016. The business program of the TIBO 2016 forum envisages 25 events, including forums, conferences, roundtable sessions, seminars-presentations where national and foreign experts will present cutting-edge solutions in information technologies. The program of the international exhibition will include for the first time a number of events on digital transformation of various economic sectors. Among them is the conference “Trade Forum – Innovative Technologies in Trade”, the Belarusian-German forum “Industry 4.0 – Innovations in the Manufacturing Sector”, the conference “Smart Learning – Innovative Technologies in Education”, the roundtable “Science 2.0 – Digital Transformation of Research and Development Sector”.
The forum will traditionally comprise the awards ceremony for the winners of the TIBO 2016 Internet Award competition.
