Twenty Belarusian projects to be presented at Skolkovo pitch session during Yes-Forum

Twenty Belarusian projects will be presented at a Skolkovo pitch session during the First Eurasian Forum of Young Scientists - Yes-Forum, Andrei Ivanets, the chairman of the Young Scientists Council at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, told reporters at the opening of the forum, BelTA has learned.
"Our young scientists will present 20 projects at the Skolkovo pitch session on 4 December to receive financing from the fund,” Andrei Ivanets said.
Representatives of Skolkovo will conduct competitive selection, and give advice to scientists so that that the maximum number of projects would receive support. "We have a very dynamic cooperation with Skolkovo. We are regular participants in their activities: summer schools for young scientists, foresight sessions, various workshops," said Andrei Ivanets.
The First Eurasian Forum of Young Scientists is running in Minsk on 1-4 December. The event was suggested by the Young Scientists Council at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and supported by the entire academic youth community of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). There are plans to hold it biennially and in different venues. Attending it are about 500 people, including 100 participants from abroad (Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkey, Germany and other countries). The main aim of the event is to unite young scientists of the EEU member states working on large interdisciplinary projects that address global, fundamental and applied problems in science. Thus, the forum will show the achievements in different fields, ranging from environment to medicine. The event is focused on scientific breakthroughs, economic and social processes taking place in Eurasia.
The forum will be divided into three areas: material science, life science and social and human sciences.
