Young scientists of Belarus, Armenia sign cooperation agreement

Young scientists of Belarus and Armenia have signed a cooperation agreement, Gevorg Vardanyan, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, said at the opening of the international research conference Youth in Science 2014, BelTA has learned.
“During a today’s round table meeting to discuss prospects of international scientific and technical cooperation between young scientists Armenian and Belarusian experts signed a cooperation agreement in order to launch joint projects,” Gevorg Vardanyan said.
According to the Armenian scientist, the sides will implement the first joint projects in 2015. Belarusian and Armenian scientists will develop innovative and applied areas of science. “I take part in the Youth and Science conference for the second time. This time I am going to discuss the prospects of cooperation in innovations. Belarusian scientists develop many interesting and promising innovative branches,” Gevorg Vardanyan stressed.
The 11th international research conference Youth in Science takes place in Minsk on 18-21 November. Partaking in the forum are over 400 young scientists, postgraduate students, university and school students from Belarus, young researchers from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Poland, Bulgaria, Nigeria. The program of the forum includes 340 reports. Young scientists discuss the most important scientific issues, such as promising avenues of sustainable development in agribusiness, preservation of biological diversity, ecology, genetics, biotechnologies, humanitarian sciences and arts.
