06.06.2014
Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has approved the text of the protocol that amends the Belarusian-Russian agreement on measures to regulate trade and economic cooperation in the export of oil and oil products of 12 January 2007. The relevant executive order was published on 6 June, BelTA has learned.
In line with the protocol Russia will deliver 23 million tonnes of oil to Belarus in 2015, including 22 million tonnes by pipeline transport. In 2016-2024 Belarus will get 24 million tonnes per annum, including 23 million tonnes via pipelines.
The figures may change depending on the technical capabilities of the pipelines by 2% at most, the document reads. Starting 2021 the volumes may be increased if the sides reach an agreement.
In line with the protocol by 1 October every year the relevant government agencies of Belarus and Russia will have to agree the choice and volumes of the oil products that Belarus makes out of Russian oil for the sake of delivering them to Russia the next year. The figures will be broken down on a quarterly basis. Russia intends to get at least 1 million tonnes of automobile gasoline every year in 2015-2017.
