Another free flowing oil well for Belorusneft in Russia

21.10.2014
The operating well stock of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft now includes another production well in Russia. Well No. 820s2 of the Osenneye deposit of OAO Oil Company Yangpur has the oil flow to the surface of over 100 tonnes per day, the press service of the Belarusian industrial group told BelTA.

The well is 3,455m deep. Its construction was preceded by a thorough analysis of seismic materials and results of the drilling and exploitation of existing wells. Effective actions of the Belarusian team allowed determining the optimal location for drilling the lateral hole. According to geophysical research data, the well has another 16m of oil-filled formations. It means that these formations will be exploited later on.

Oil flow to the surface was also secured at well No. 123s2 of the same deposit in early September. The daily yield is close to 100 tonnes.

The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft acquired Russian OAO Oil Company Yangpur via an auction in September 2013. The Russian company had three oil deposits and one gas condensate deposit in development, with the number of wells at 44. Yangpur’s acquisition was part of the program to build up Belorusneft’s operation in Russia.

The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
